DepEd looking for 172 teachers for TV classes

According to a Department of Education memorandum issued on July 16, the department needs 86 to 172 public school teacher-broadcasters who will conduct classes on television and aid the agency set up DepEd TV, DepEd Radio and DepEd Teleradyo episodes for broadcast nationwide during the official opening of classes on Aug. 24.

Education Secretary Leonor Briones said that, radio and television would be some of the many learning modes teachers can opt aside from going online, especially in areas without internet access.

Limited face-to-face classes are planning to start January next year.

Teachers who are interested should register at bit.ly/depedtbaf, upload their resume and brief profile, submit a five-minute video demonstrating mastery on the applied subject or grade level on or before July 24 at 12 noon.

Selected teachers will have an intensive training on broadcasting before the school opening.
